Florent AVELLA
Florent brings with him an impressive wealth of experience in hospitality development. Flo carries a degree in hospitality management, Certification in Accounting & Finance, US GAAP, and Real-Estate & Hotel Investment Certification from Cornell University NY. His previous roles were as CFO & Finance Director in both branded & independent hotel groups in French Polynesia, Saint Martin, South East Asia, Iraq, & Belize. Flo is an avid PADI certified diver who also likes cooking & photography. His favorite quote is “Price is what you pay, Value is what you get”.
Rudi ERASMUS
As a seasoned Financial and Management Accountant with over 16 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry, Rudi brings a wealth of experience with him. Having worked in a wide variety of hospitality properties; game lodges, boutique hotels, condo-hotels, hotel resorts, business and convention hotels as well as island resorts, his experience is wide-ranging, complimented with an in-depth knowledge of the workings of hospitality properties. He boasts a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from the University of Johannesburg, CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting from IBTC, and a Bachelors of Consumer Science (Hospitality Management) degree from the University of South Africa.
Teresita JUAN
Teresita is a recent graduate of the University of Belize with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. Her hunger for knowledge and determination to rise up to the challenge has allowed her to continue building on her academic foundations and contributed towards building her career path.
Rina MENDEZ
Rina is a graduate of Galen University, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Rina’s accounting working experience has evolved from construction businesses to flourishing primarily in the hospitality industry. She was employed by one of the largest resort management companies in Belize, where she escalated in her position from an accountant to successfully managing an accounting team of over 10 team members as deputy financial controller. Rina is now expanding her accounting skills at Silver Oaks Hospitality Services.
Maricruz CONTRERAS
Maricruz holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Sacred Heart Junior College. Maricruz has been exposed to several industries such as: Hotel, Food & Beverage, and Construction businesses. She is actively expanding her accounting and administrative skills at Silver Oaks Hospitality Services.
Kelsy VELASQUEZ
Kelsy holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Sacred Heart Junior College. Kelsy received training and mentorship at Ka’ana Resort, she further built up her accounting and administrative skills actively handling day to day Hotel and Project Development accounting with Silver Oaks Hospitality Services since 2019.
Emerita TUN
Emerita has an associate degree in accounting and has worked in the field for more than a decade. She started her career as an account clerk at Belize Diesel & Equipment Co. Ltd. and was promoted to Accounts Receivable. Following that, Emerita held accountant positions for two companies. Later, held a finance clerk position at Gallon Jug Agroindustry and oversaw inventories for two companies and shared service at The Ambergris Grand. Over the years, she has acquired a broad range of skills and knowledge.
